The Delta Lloyd Regatta is pleased to announce a new partnership with Weather Routing Inc. for supply of weather forecasts during the Delta Lloyd Regatta 2011. Weather Routing Inc. is an ideal supplier of weather forecasts for sailors and coaches. Weather Routing Inc. (WRI) is a weather routing and meteorological consulting firm based out of Glens Falls New York, and prides itself in being the world leader in yacht forecasting, in business for nearly 50 years. In additional to its “traditional” routing/forecast services, WRI specializes in forecasts for yacht races, providing detailed, customized weather information for both committee members and individual yachts, provided prior to the event (and during the event as race rules apply). Forecasts will be supplied twice daily during the event and made available with the Delta Lloyd Regatta website.
To compliment these forecasts, there is also a supplemental weather service, SeaWeather, where subscribers can gain access to real-time and forecast information (out to five days) and access to global GRIB files via direct download and/or via e-mail. Information is provided in both graphical and text format, and for any region of the world. WRI offers one-month subscriptions to SeaWeather as part of its yacht race pricing packages, and free trials of SeaWeather are offered under no obligation.
