Windsurfer Shahar Zubari (ISR) had already secured the victory in the Sailing World Cup contest in the RS:X Class on Friday. Without even sailing the medal race he had earned himself an Olympic ticket for his home country. In the final medal race Zubari finished in fourth place, ending the Delta Lloyd Regatta with 21 points. Zubari: ,,The conditions this week where in my favour. I like light weather. I had to win the Delta Lloyd Regatta for an Olympic ticket.”
Louis-Benoit Hug finished in second place with 41 points. The medal race was won by Hug.
Third in the RS:X class men is Pierre Le Coq (FRA) with 48 points.
