At the fourth day of the 2012 Delta Lloyd Regatta, Rutger van Schaardenburg, sailor of the Delta Lloyd Kernploeg, achieved his Olympic ticket. The 24 year old sailor in the Laser class needed to make it to the medal race in order to qualify for London 2012, which he secured today. Van Schaardenburg has a 7 point lead on Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Bernaz entering the medal race on Saturday. All medal races will be live streamed at www.deltalloydregatta.org.
