The Delta Lloyd Regatta has been a progressive sports event for 26 years. What once started as an idea resulting from the love for the sport evolved into a leading Regatta in the world of sailing. Back then, the Regatta was initially organised in order to professionalize sailing in the Netherlands. But when international success increased for our Dutch sailing heroes, sailing as a sport did too in the Netherlands.
We aim high as we take on the role of trendsetter in the international world of sailing. We have a name to uphold in this 27th edition of the Delta Lloyd Regatta. This year, the unique 3D Tracking & Tracing system, in combination with live images, will be optimized in order to bring the sport closer to the fans and public. Furthermore, the Delta Lloyd Regatta is making big steps in online and social media. Apart from our new website which is fully integrated with YouTube, Facebook and Twitter we have news teams who will make video items on the quay as well as the water during the event. By following us on Twitter and ‘liking’ our Facebook page all sailors around the world will continuously stay updated prior and during the event.

The Delta Lloyd Regatta also relies heavily on the commitment of its 300 passionate volunteers. Without them it wouldn’t be possible to organize an event of such magnitude.
