You recently transferred from Laser to the Finn.

“The most important reason is to keep challenging myself. I want to become a more complete sailor. So far the transition to the Finn is going well with top ten results and a podium at the World Cup. Material development is happening every day on the Finn, and I’m really getting to know myself physically.”

The Finn is not sailing at the Delta Lloyd Regatta

“It’s sad we’re not competing this week, but our race schedule is really busy. There are international events every five days, so a lot of sailors decided not to enter for the Delta Lloyd Regatta to get some rest. However, I’ll be here a couple of days to talk with the experts and, of course, get some rest before the next event.”

What are your memories of sailing at the Delta Lloyd Regatta in the Laser?

“Normally it’s a cold and windy regatta, it’s great to be standing here with the 20 degree sun outside. The Laser competition, standard and radial, at the Delta Lloyd Regatta is known for an internationally strong field, which it has this year.”
